let's trip the light fantastic

Do you know what I love about kids? Other than that they are insanely curious and full of wonder about little things like wriggly earthworms and where color comes from? Other than that they still know how to properly breathe deep in their bellies? Other than that they speak their minds, and when they hurt, they cry? Other than that they live in the moment? Or that their high standards make me a better grown-up?

I love that they love to dance. At least mine does. Full on, eyes closed, grin on face, in-his-body loves to dance. And we do this a lot. In our home. In our living room. Impromptu.

what a lovely blog and i LOVE the drawing plus caption.

i miss you both tremendously. i've been telling everybody about my time with you two, especially about my excited utterance that boo bear has "a big woody" (as in the type of car - for those of you who were not there at that moment) or my question whether he wanted me to "grab [his] balls" (as in metal ball-type parts of his magneto construction set). ok, not as poetic as what you wrote but that's what i love! but our squatting on the floor as we played remains the thing i love most about your little guy!!!
